New Upgrade on Photo Software Program

Yesterday, I was shopping by myself. I had to add that because so much of the time I am not.

Anyways, I went to Hobby Lobby after I worked a few cases at the hospital I work at and I saw this magazine called Digital Scrapbooking and I decided to look at it. I have done some digital scrapbooking and am looking to learn more about it. The magazine compared different photo editing programs by price and their capabilities.

I was surprised to see Photo Explosion listed as well as Adobe, Microsoft, ULead, and a few others. I even saw that Photo Explosion was listed to do the same things as Adobe (which is the BIG one). I had recently recieved a notice of an upgrade for Photo Explosion in the mail and just hadn’t done anything about it yet. So when I got home, I told my husband and we decided we would go out that afternoon and go buy the new version. I bought version 1.0 about 4 years ago after we bought our first digital camera and liked what it would do. It did so many neat things. We had our first baby on the way and it was perfect timing to touch up pictures of a baby. What is cuter than pictures of a baby? Nothing! Then later, we bought the upgrade for the 2.0 version and liked it because it would de everything 1.0 did, but more like adding a fill flash and doing pictures in black and white with something in color. That is when I started doing pictures of the second baby in black & white with color. What is cuter than that?

Ok – version 3.0 is even better. I will blog more about it here later as I use it more. My hubby installed it last night. So I am just getting to play with it. I love to play with technology and my pictures. Tee Hee Hee!!! It does everything the other two versions do, but it seems to be more sophisticated and easier to use. It will even let me do digital scrapbooking…yes, I said digital scrapbooking. Ahhhhh… I can tell I am going to love this part of it!

This is what I love…my friend Heather (the biggest aggie fan from Texas to Florida) told me about 2 peas free digital kit downloads. I downloaded a few freebies in the past. I am able to use them in the new photo explosion…that almost makes me drool all over my keyboard!!! Seriously! So now, I can load my pictures, enhance my pictures, and scrapbook my pictures all in the same program. Doesn’t that make you want to drool? Ok, it does me. I love the digital scrapbooking and have even had a few friends that were intimidated with paper scrapbooking to give it a try. I will still do paper scrapbooking, but I like that I can do the digital and then even add those pages on facebook where friends can see my pages, too. I am thinking of using digital scrapbooking for my scrapbooks and using all my tools for cards and paper craft projects. We will see!

I will add more about here on my scrap blog as I have time to see what it will do. I can say this… it is about $40 for the package. That is way cheaper than the other photo editing packages out there that do the same thing. It is very user friendly! There is no figuring it out at all! It is “A Piece of Cake!”
