Creating Torn Paper Recipe

To create digital torn paper, use this simple recipe. It will be “A Piece of Cake!”

Go to open or place and select the paper to be torn

Click on eraser

Select brush (scatter brushes are suggested)

Adjust brush size (100-150px)

Set opacity @ 100%

Start giving the paper a torn look by erasing a jagged edge and it will give the same look as torn paper

Now go to open or place and select new paper to go under torn paper (white works really well or another color from the layout will work)

Choose another brush (125-175px)

Follow tear along the first torn page

Go to layers palette and place the paper on top that was torn first

Go to layer on tool bar and click on merge down

Add a drop shadow (to give depth)
